'Playstation 5' Update: Photorealism A Possibility, Says Stardock CEO; 'GTA 6' May Be Available For Console

When Shuhei Yoshida, President of Sony's Worldwide Studios for Sony Interactive Entertainment Inc., said that the "PS5" is really just a question of "if" rather than "when," there have been a lot of speculations as to what the new console would be like. There are also reports claiming that the awaited "GTA 6" will be available for "Playstation 5."

TNH Online said that Rockstar Games is not in a hurry to release the game, because "GTA 5" is still very in demand. However, whenever something becomes so popular, fans clamor for a sequel, and so even if the publisher has not made an announcement yet, gamers are calling for a "GTA 6."

Previous reports say that "PS5" may not be released until three years from now, and according to new reports, the "GTA 6" may be released during the same time. Since the game and the console are rumored to be available during the same time, then it's highly likely that "GTA 6" will be available for the new console. Either Sony or Rockstar Games are yet to confirm this.

The game is expected to feature a backstory, and that it will either show Tokyo or London as the setting. Some gamers say that it would be nice to have a female protagonist this time.

Now, going back to rumors about the "Playstation 5," we have previously rounded up the expectations of gamers for the new console. Some experts say that Sony can achieve photorealistic graphics with the "PS5." Stardock CEO Brad Wardell said that with the current cycle, photorealism is a possibility, Playstation Universe reported.

Wardell added that the problem is no longer the hardware that's currently available, but the software used to utilize the hardware. In essence, we are just waiting for the engines to catch up with the hardware. Hopefully, "PS5" will be able to give us this. When asked about photorealism, he said: "We can go full realism. I mean, can we get past uncanny valley? Probably not. But when I think photo, I think still images. And we can definitely do that!"
