Internationally renowned country singer and accomplished actor, appearing in such films as "Friday Night Lights," "Flicka," and the Oscar-nominated "The Blind Side," Tim McGraw revealed that "his drinking problem affected his relationship with his wife, fellow country singer, Faith Hill and three daughters," according to csmonitor.com.
The 45-year-old McGraw is now five-years sober and fills his time, previously occupied by drinking with exercise, ""My workout program took the place of alcohol, and it's really important . . . I was always in pretty good shape but for a while I let it go a little bit. There are aches and pains but I feel pretty young," according to examiner.com.
The singer, who is currently on the "Two Lanes of Freedom" tour (tour named after the song, on the self-titled album "Two Lanes of Freedom,") has released 11 albums, singles and compilations aside, with the "Two Lanes of Freedom" album coming out Feb. 5.
"I'm in a good place right now. I really feel like this new album is not a culmination of the things I've done, it's a new beginning of the things I am going to do. I want to enjoy my career and having my family. I have a busy life, but it is a fulfilling life," he told People Magazine.
