Good news for the fans of Eiichiro Oda's manga, the May 2017 issue of Shueisha's Saikyo Jump magazine discloses the largest number of printed copies of "One Piece" worldwide. It reaches up to 350 million copies, which is about three times the number of the 120 million population of Japan.
The current issue of "One Piece" is the 84th volume. This manga became popular not only in the Japanese and other neighboring Asian countries but also to other countries in the world. Last February 7, Viz Media released "One Piece" 81st volume in English.
In addition to its popularity, "One Piece" set a new world record in Guinness for having 320,866,000 copies worldwide as of December 2014. This record was set on June 2015, tagging the manga as "The most copies published for the same comic book series by a single author."
"One Piece" was launched by Oda in 1997. Since then, the publication of the manga reached more than 30 countries around the globe. Last February 3, the 84th volume was released by Shueisha in Japan and within just three days after that, the manga sold more than 1.5 million copies.
Meanwhile, "One Piece's" official website released the key and supporting character visuals for the upcoming Whole Cake Island arc on April 9. For the Vinsmokes siblings among the visuals include Michiko Neya as Reiju, Noriaki Sugiyama as Ichiji, Atsushi Miyauchi as Niji, and Kenjiro Tsuda as Yonji.
The latest arc will start with the 783rd episode on April 9. In this episode, fans will witness Sanji falling in love the picture of Charlotte Pudding, whom he is supposed to marry. In addition, this episode will show the Straw Hat pirates pursuing their quest to save Sanji on Whole Cake Island that Big Mom reigns.
