Legendary porn star Ron Jeremy is in critical condition, at Cedars-Sinai hospital, in Los Angles, after experiencing "chest pains" that later turned out to be the result of a heart aneurysm.
The 59-year-old Jeremy drove himself to the hospital on Tuesday afternoon and after a through doctor's examination, the heart aneurysm was discovered.
According to TMZ.com who spoke to Jeremy's manger, Mike Esterman, "Ron's condition has worsened and he was transferred to the ICU. He's currently being prepped for surgery."
Jeremy, originally from Queens, NY, whose full name is Ron Jeremy Hyatt, according to The New York Daily News, has starred in over 2000 X-rated movies, like "Super Hornio Brothers," "High Heels, Low Standards," "A Christmas Orgy, and even a TMZ spoof, where he played the role of Harvey Levin, called "TMSleaze," according to TMZ.com.
He is considered to be "one of the most recognized [male or female] porn stars in the world," according to Chron.com.
Though of by many as "one of the most successful careers in the adult film industry," according to the New York Daily News, he has used his fame to make a name for himself away from the Adult Film Industry, making cameo and supporting appearances in over 50 mainstream feature films, including "The Boondock Saints" and "The Chase," according to the New York Daily News.
He was also reportedly recruited last year to "help catch Luka Magnotta, the alleged porn-star-gone-Canadian cannibal," according to Huffingtonpost.com.
In addition to his recruitment in the Magnotta wtich-hunt, he has made the news for his opposition to a new L.A. law that would require all adult film actors to wear a condom while filming.
However, even with all of "his effort" Measure B passed in November of 2012. The decision is still looked upon with disdain by those in the industry.
