There are dozens of hotel chains to choose from when you're looking to book a hotel, so it could be hard to determine which one is best. A new survey has revealed a list of the Top 10 Hotel Chains in the US.
Research firm Market Metrix surveyed more than 40,000 travelers to determine which hotel chains are the best across the country. Surprisingly, a small family-owned chain beat out the well-known big-name chains such as Ritz Carlton and Four Seasons.
Drury Hotels took the number one spout due to its helpful reservations agents and front-desk staff.
"Ranking No. 1 in customer satisfaction is a huge honor for Drury Hotels and for every member of the Drury team," said Chuck Drury, president and chief executive officer of Drury Hotels in a release. "Giving our guests a great experience was our commitment when we opened the first Drury Hotel nearly 40 years ago, and we've never wavered from that commitment."
Drury Hotels, a chain with 130 low-cost hotels, received a score of 90.9 put of a hundred in the ratings, putting it ahead of nine other big hotel chains.
"This is a remarkable accomplishment for a mid-size hotel chain in the American Midwest to outperform the world's best," said Dr. Jonathan Barsky, co-founder at Market Metrix. "It just goes to show what an enormous impact service has on guest satisfaction and loyalty. In fact, the big thing that separates the satisfaction leaders in every global region is service."
