There are things in this world that are guaranteed to happen:
Death is one of them and Lindsay Lohan being in the news for something other than her acting career being the other.
In the latest twist in the Lohan story, the troubled 26-year-old actress has claimed to be "too ill to make the trip from New York to L.A.," according to US Magazine.
Reports gathered by multiple sources state that Judge Stephanie Sautner received Lohan's notice on Jan. 29 of Lohan being checked out by a physician who deemed her unfit, health wise, to make the almost 6 hour, coast-to-coast, non-stop flight to L.A. for her appearance.
However, later that same day, photos started to appear of Lohan shopping in New York over the same weekend she was supposed to be sick.
The photos made many wonder if the doctor's note was another scheme.
Could this be just another ruse for Lohan to skip her court date?
If it is, it wouldn't be the first time. She also found a way out of a 2010 hearing with the claim of being stuck in France, due to her passport being stolen, reported CNN.
The judge in that case didn't believe her and issued a warrant for her arrest. It was only thanks to her lawyer, Shawn Holly, arranging a bond that she was kept out of handcuffs.
Since that time, Holly has step-down as legal representative for Lohan and New York based attorney, Mark Heller, who, at the present time, isn't licensed in the state of California to practice law, has stepped in.
Lohan is being accused with violating her probation following a car crash, in June, in which, "she is accused of obstruction, providing false information to an officer, and reckless driving. Wednesday's hearing was supposed to address issues in advance of her upcoming February trial," according to US Magazine.
