Niantic has stealthily updated "Pokemon GO" with the Shiny Update, which provided players with the Shine Magikarp and the Shiny Gyarados. It has likely opened the door for endless events and even trading. Plus, some changes to the egg hatching were leaked.
According to a report from Express, Niantic is slowly but surely ticking off some of the most requested features that fans are clamoring for. The latest Shiny Update has been a stroke of mastery from the company.
The report said that this update has also opened the door for Niantic to further provide the players with the feature that they are requesting for "Pokemon GO," which is trading. And it seems as though Niantic is already working on it.
Previous statements from Niantic are already hinted that there's a possibility that trading would be coming to the popular game. However, this feature can only be done locally.
What this means is that players would need to be face-to-face with each other in order to trade Pokemon, as trading won't be done online. This new feature, once it becomes available, will be a big help for people who are aiming to complete their Pokedex.
It's also a good way to get their hands on the shiny Pokemon, which is a rare creature to catch. The only problem is players would likely have to part ways with some of their rare Pokemon in order to trade for a shiny one.
But the Shiny Update is not the only thing that Niantic has been working on since the mechanics to the "Pokemon GO" egg hatching is also being updated. According to the Daily Star, a brand new trailer for the "Pokemon GO Plus" has shown that three new Pokemon will be available in the 2km eggs.
The three Pokemon are Cyndaquil, Chikorita, and Totodile, which are all Gen 2 starter Pokemon. This is a huge update as Gen 2 starter Pokemon are usually not available via egg hatching.
The report said that it's likely due to Niantic preparing for an upcoming Easter event. There is no schedule of release for the aforementioned changes yet and gamers need to wait for an official announcement from Niantic.
