After the "biggest confession of the year" by Lance Armstrong about doping through all seven of his Tour de France victories and the lengths he went trying to cover his tracks, the next stop on this road-a motion picture.
Why not?
It is a great story, including a lead man, so desperate to win that he cheats, but not only that, fights for nearly a decade to keep his name clean, even though, the people speaking out against him were telling the truth.
There are also numerous women in the story, which always adds a bit of flavoring to the character.
So, who could pull this off?
Well, Bradley Cooper would love to have the shot.
Or would he?
This is where the story becomes interesting-while promoting his latest movie-"Silver Lining Playbook," in England, during a sit-down interview with the BBC Morning show, he was asked if he would be interested in playing the role of Lance "the dance" Armstrong.
"I would be interested in that. I think he's fascinating. What a fascinating character."
However, back in the states, during an interview with Access Hollywood he had a different story.
"Oh my God, that's so nuts!"
Adding, "I was in Manchester, doing the BBC morning show... I had no idea what [the interviewer] was talking about, I didn't even know that J.J. has the rights, I had no idea," explained the 38-year-old actor.
But, isn't this how things go in Hollyweird, an actor is rumored to play a role, like Cooper was a few years back, when it was rumored that he would be playing the role of Templeton "Faceman" Peck in the "A-team movie."
What happened?
After months of denying the rumor, Cooper ended up playing the character.
Is this just another one of those celebrity games were they use the rumor mill to pre-publicize a movie that isn't even being filmed yet?
Never know, but don't be shocked of an announcement of "Bradley Cooper signs on to play Lance Armstrong in the J.J Abrams' film (fill in title here), due to start filming...(fill in date here).
