The suspect was driving a car along the Westminster Bridge and ran over pedestrians on his way to the British Parliament. When the car crashed, the attacker jumped out of the vehicle and stabbed the unarmed police officer to death.

The Metropolitan Police tweeted that law enforcement officers don't usually have guns. They also said that the ones with guns during the incident where law enforcers who responded to the attack.

Reporters say that one of the Parliament members even provided first aid to the stabbed officer, along with other responders. There were pictures of Tobias Elwood, Foreign Office Prime Minister, who was at the scene assisting with blood on his face.
