The first photo of Shakira's baby has been revealed by father Gerard Piqué, but it doesn't reveal much besides the fact that baby Milan has two legs.
Piqué posted a photo to his Twitter account on Wednesday of his newborn's feet. Baby Milan is wearing sneakers that say his name, but that's all the photo shows. As a soccer play, Piqué might have focused on his son's feet, in hopes that baby Milan might follow in his footsteps.
Milan was born to Piqué and Shakira on January 22 at 9pm through a scheduled caesarean section. He weighed 6lbs and 6 ounces. The couple was hoping their son would be born on Feb. 2, which is both of their birthdays, but that date wasn't possible. They chose the 22nd instead because as it would still fit with their birthday of 2/2.
"The name Milan (pronounced MEE-lahn), means dear, loving and gracious in Slavic; in Ancient Roman, eager and laborious; and in Sanskrit, unification," an announcement on the Shakira website read. "Just like his father, baby Milan became a member of FC Barcelona at birth."
Baby Milan was born perfectly healthy.
The day after Milan's birth, Piqué went to soccer training where his Barca teammates congratulated and celebrated with him. Piqué is ecstatic about the birth of his son.
While Piqué left a lot to the imagination in his photo of Milan, a full photo is bound to hit the media soon or maybe Piqué will be more generous about sharing his and Shakira's baby with the world.
