For over 10 years SeatGuru has helped travelers research airlines, different aircrafts and prices, but now, one of, if not the best, online guide to air travel unveiled several upgrades and enhancements to the website.
Taking a closer look at the flight search, which is powered by TripAdvisor (parent company of SeatGuru), there are the basics of any travel site: finding packages, searching for only nonstop flights and scanning for flexible dates.
However, now, visitors can submit photos and comments, thus, giving visitors a look at individual seats and ability to get passenger recommendations or heed their warnings. They can also comfortably pinpoint itineraries that elevate passenger enjoyment and experience by utilizing the rating system.
Other features allow for the inclusion of individual airlines' baggage fees, providing a better price comparison and a way to search for airlines or aircrafts that offer Wi-Fi connections.
Adding to the features and look of the website is on the homepage: a list of "popular airlines" gives the option of choosing flights based on past experiences and destination hubs.
There are updates still to come that are in beta mode, one of those is the comparison chart. The comparison chart, once fully operational, will rank airlines by different categories: short-haul economy class, short-haul business class, long-haul business class and long-haul first class.
SeatGuru also announced the development of an iPhone application that will bring the power of SeatGuru to the mobile world.
It is obvious that SeatGuru built this site with the goal of being user-friendly-it shows.
