If there's a better way to describe the word "revenge" it's the new trailer released for "Wentworth" Season 5. Fans of Queen Bea, prepare to have a bittersweet revenge from her lover, Allie Novak. Allie found a "normal life" because of Bea even if they are in prison. Now that Bea's gone, Allie is left with nothing but the promise of revenge.
The most-awaited season is here! Foxtel released the Season 5 trailer for "Wentworth," which also showed the premiere date. The 60-second teaser started with a tearful Allie who places a rose in memory of Bea.
Just then, The Freak enters the yard, and Allie stands with all those other inmates who have suffered from her hands. She is escorted by Will and Jake, and The Freak had this slightly smug face, but the smile disappeared when the escorts left her. The trailer ended with the line "Revenge will set them free," and then the April 4 release date was shown.
It would be satisfying to watch The Freak get a taste of her own medicine, many fans agree. Viewers are hoping that the upcoming season will give a plot twist, and show Bea's return. Producer Jo Porter said in an interview that while Bea's shoes will be hard to fill, Season 5 will show the "gates of Wentworth Correctional Facility will again open to a raft of potential new stories and characters."
To those who need reminding, Bea was killed by Joan "The Freak" Ferguson by stabbing her with a screwdriver during a frenzied attack. "Wentworth" Season 4 ended on such a high note, and fans have been hoping that Bea is not really dead, because the show revolved around her, and it's hard to imagine not seeing her anymore.
What's on Netflix said that for US fans, "Wentworth" Season 5 should be available on Netflix starting June. The previous season was made available for Canadians in October, so expect the same to happen this year.
