More hotel companies are innovating to bring their guests unique hotel experiences. In fact, there's one futuristic Dutch theme park in Japan where most of its facilities are run by robots. But its latest addition, which are the floating hotel rooms, are really something that you shouldn't miss out on.
Located in Sasebo, Nagasaki, Japan, the Huis Ten Bosch is a recreation of the Netherlands with its Dutch-style atmosphere that's showcased through its buildings, museums, villas, windmills, rides and restaurants. But what everyone's been talking about is its floating hotel rooms that allow guests to float out into the sea as the waves gently rock you to sleep.
The pods look like hamster wheels and it would be able to take guests to the surrounding islands near the area. According to The Sun, these floating rooms would be available before the year ends.
There are two sections that make up each pod with the top section being the bedroom and the bottom being the bathroom. It's not going to be a problem for claustrophobic guests because the pods have large windows that offer gorgeous views of the sea. The bedroom is also enclosed by a large glass window so you'll be able to do some stargazing at night.
The Dutch theme park covers a 39,000 sq. meter area on an uninhabited island. Metro reported that the developers are also planning to put up new attractions so guests would be able to experience some thrill and adventure during their stay. One adventure that was included in the plan was a "Hunger Games" style activity that uses fake weapons of course.
You can also find the Henn na Hotel in the park which most people call the "robot hotel."The robot workers that serve as receptionists, porters and greeters look like actual humans and animals. This park is really a fun treat for families and friends alike with its hi-tech facilities and innovative style of accommodation.
