The Cake Boss is going on a cruise. Buddy Valastro, also known as the "Cake Boss" is opening an extension of Carlo's Bake shop on a Norwegian cruise ship.
The 4,000-passenger Norwegian Breakaway will feature one of Valastro's very own bakeries. Passengers will be able to buy various deserts and cakes and will even be able to pre-order cakes for special occasions like birthdays and anniversaries. There will even be a cake decorating class for guests to try out.
"Buddy is known as the ultimate baker, so we knew he was the best choice for our new bakery on Norwegian Breakaway," Norwegian CEO Kevin Sheehan said according to USA Today.
Carlo's Bake Shop will be on Deck 8 of the brand new ship. The menu includes items like cakes, cookies, biscottis pies, cupcakes and Valastro specialties like Oreo, Dark Chocolate Mousse and Purple Groovy Fondant cakes.
The new Norwegian Breakaway will make its debut in May 2013 and will sail out of New York City. The ship will also have a variety of unique eateries such as a gelato place, a sushi bar, a noodle bar and more. There will also be a variety of bars including an ice bar made entirely from ice. For entertainment, the boat will have an entire waterpark, a lounge and a sports complex.
