'Dragon Ball Super' Episode 81 Recap Made Goku Look Like A Villain And Bergamo The Protagonist

The third and final match of the Omni-present battle showed Goku and Bergamo in an amazing fight in "Dragon Ball Super" episode 81. The Universal arc of the "Dragon Ball Super" saga is a battle between the universes wherein the universe of the losing team will be wiped out. In the "Dragon Ball" series, Goku has always been the hero, but in this fight, he is viewed as the villain, and his opponent, Bergamo is considered by the other universes as the protagonist.

According to Anime News Network, Bergamo - the leader for the "Trio De Dangers" - made a bargain with Zen-Oh that if he wins against Goku, the plan to annihilate the universe of the losing team will be waived, and it was granted. So clearly, the people of the universe of the losing team is rooting for Bergamo so that they may not be annihilated. To make sure Goku will not purposely lose in the battle, The Grand Priest warned him that he should do his best, or else, everyone will be erased immediately.

And so the battle of "Dragon Ball Super" episode 81 began. Bergamo is very fast, and what many fans noticed is how the battle felt so real. Like when either Bergamo of Goku gets hit, it fet very realistic. Now, as Bergamo is getting hit, he grows bigger and bigger. It turns out that he is using all of Goku's power, because that's his ability. He can use his opponent's techniques.

But Goku only smiled wickedly because he has a plan. He transformed into Super Saiyan Blue and then released a very powerful Ka-Me-Ha-Me-Ha, and Bergamo was struck to the ground, defeated. It's important to note that Bergamo is very powerful, probably more powerful than any villain from "Dragon Ball Z," and so defeating him only makes fans understand how truly powerful Goku is.

Now that Bergamo is defeated, what's going to happen to the universe of the losing team after Bergamo's failure? After the fight ended, the official rules for the Tournament of Power is made known, which include ring-outs are legal and killing opponents with weapons or flying is prohibited.

Just then, Toppo from Universe 11 interrupts things by coming down to the ring and challenging Goku to a fight. Blasting News said that "Dragon Ball Super" episode 82 may show how what Toppo's real agenda is. He is not to be messed with because he is actually rumored to be vying for the spot of God of Destruction. Episode 82 airs on March 19.
