'Microsoft Surface Phone' Update: Price, Specs, And What We Know So Far

It has been a few months since we last reported about the "Microsoft Surface Phone," and after that, nothing much has been heard so much about it. It has been previously reported that the phone will be launched this year, and there were even leaks that the phone will have amazing specs. Whatever happened to the "Microsoft Surface Phone?"

According to Trusted Reviews, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella admitted in an interview in November that Microsoft has "missed the mobile boom" but added that the company is working on the "ultimate mobile device." Fans waited for it to be announced during this year's CES, but nothing has been made.

The Science Times gave some reported updates about the long-awaited phone. The website said that Microsoft is still struggling to acquire the best market, and the release of the "Microsoft Surface Phone" this year could be their answer, and they have to do it as soon as possible. Some say that the phone will be launched in the first half of this year.

The "Microsoft Surface Phone" is said to come in three variants - Consumer Edition, Business Edition, and Enthusiast Edition - so some say that the first variant could be the flagship, the second one, a BlackBerry replacement, while the third is going to be a power user device, just like the "Samsung Galaxy Note" phones.

Some reports claim that the "Microsoft Surface Phone" will have a 5.5 AMOLED display, and it will be powered by either Intel or Snapdragon 835 CPU. Additionally, it's expected to have a 4GB of RAM, and a 128 GB storage capacity and an expandable microSD slot. The phone's display is rumored to be have 1440 x 2560 pixels in Quad-HD resolution. The powerful camera is reported to be a 21MP rear facing a camera and an 8MP front-facing a camera.

Price of the "Microsoft Surface Phone" is expected to range from $699 up to $1,100. With all these rumored features, it's safe to say that the "Microsoft Surface Phone" is going to be worth the wait. All that's left to do is to wait for Microsoft to make this official.
