United States

According to Telegraph, the United States is known to be the top contender for the "most" list. It includes the most guns, most airports and most billionaires. Kuwait

Though being a small Middle Eastern state, Kuwait comes second on the list. Kuwaitis consume meat twice a day and also an average of 119.2 kg of meat per person annually.

Australia

Being one of the biggest meat exporters, it is no wonder Australia comes in third on the list. They annually consume at least 111.5 kg of meat per person. One reason why they're included in the list is because of their preference of red meat and barbecues.

The Bahamas

Telegraph reported that countries which have the highest meat intake are also listed among the most obese. The Bahamas ranks 4th when it comes to eating meat and 10th as the most obese country. Bahamians eat an estimated amount of 109.5 kg of meat per year.

Luxembourg

Although this nation has a small population, it has a high consumption of beef, poultry and pork. It is recorded that they eat an average of 107.9 kg of meat per person per year.

Meat consumption is related to the meat production of countries but there are also other reasons why people eat meat. Availability, preference and culture are also important factors to consider.
