Fans of Michael Schumacher continue to ask questions about the former Formula One superstar's current status. There are now reports coming out that the legendary driver can no longer walk, which further discredits the claims that he is no longer in a coma. Some of Schumacher's friends and associates have also reported that the driver has been showing some positive signs since his accident.
According to a report from the Daily Star, the Schumacher family is suing German magazine, Bunte, for up £85000 for invasion of privacy. The magazine had previously reported that Schumacher was now able to walk. Felix Damm, the Schumacher's attorney, has denied speculations that the German athlete is now in good health.
Sabine Kehm, the agent of Mr. Schumacher, has also condemned the magazine saying: "Unfortunately we are forced by a recent press report to clarify that the assertion that Michael could move again is not true. Such speculation is irresponsible, because given the seriousness of his injuries, his privacy is very important. Unfortunately, they also give false hopes to many involved people."
Schumacher, who is a 7-time world champion in Formula One, suffered serious head injuries as a result of a skiing accident in late 2013. The friends and family of the racing legend have kept his condition hidden from the public and the secrecy continued earlier this month after a judge kept the public out of a trial concerning the health of the F1 driver.
Schumacher's former manager, Willi Weber, has accused the driver's family of withholding information about his present condition from the public. Weber helped guide Schumacher to 7-world championships in a partnership that lasted for more than 20 years. According to a report from The Express, Weber claims he is no longer in contact with his former protégé.
"The Schumacher family seems to be afraid of me. I sent the family flowers and cards for his birthday, but I got no answer. That makes me sad", said Weber. He also added that the Schumachers are not telling the entire truth of what happened and that his millions of fans deserve to have an update on how he is doing.
