Free Wi-Fi isn't too difficult to come by nowadays but it's unheard of on cruise ships as many often charge an arm and a leg for an hour of connection. However Regent Seven Seas is holding a special promotion in which they'll give guests free Internet.
According to USA Today, Regent Seven Seas, a high-end luxury cruise line, is offering free Internet access to passengers who book certain trips on one of its three cruise ships through March 31.
Those who book a 10-night Caribbean cruise from Miami on Seven Seas Navigator or on its seven-night May 22 and June 12 Alaska cruises from Vancouver can take advantage of this free Wi-Fi offer.
Other trips that qualify for the offer include 11 sailings to Europe. Six are on board the Seven Seas Mariner and the ship departs from Istanbul, Venice, Athens, Rome and Monte Carlo. Five of them are on the Seven Seas Voyager which sails from from Stockholm, Copenhagen and Rome. These trips include seven and 10-night voyages from April 24 to Oct. 6.
Internet packages on cruise ships usually run at high prices and many have specific plans or guests pay by the minute. Recently Royal Caribbean started testing out an unlimited Internet access plan on certain ships.
Wi-Fi isn't the only thing that Regent Seven Seas offers for free. They're also the only cruise line to offer free unlimited shore excursions in every port. For some sailings, they also offer free airfare, free unlimited beverages and other bonuses.
