Kelly Clarkson Gay Rumors: Singer Says 'I get hit on by the hottest girls ever'

Kelly Clarkson gay rumors have been swirling around the pop star for several years, but newly engaged singer isn't a lesbian. That doesn't mean she isn't flattered by getting hit on by women.

Clarkson has had to fight back at rumors of her being gay on several occasions. She recently spoke with Cosmopolitan magazine in which she told them her guess on how the rumors started and she shot down the rumors again. She thinks they started when she was single for six years.

"People think, 'Oh, she's been single for too long.' That's kind of an insult to the gay community. Being single doesn't mean you're gay. But I'm never insulted by it, obviously," Clarkson told Cosmo. "I mean, I get hit on by the hottest girls ever. Oh, my god, if I were a lesbian, I would be so in luck. But it's just not my thing. I've always batted for the boys' team."

This wasn't the first time she made a public statement about the gay rumors. She also spoke about it to E! News in September 2011.

"I just think it is very ignorant to assume that you know everything about someone," she told E! News. "People keep saying that I'm gay and ... yeah, I'm not. I'm pretty sure I've never made out with girl. Sometimes, I wish I were because at this point, I would probably get hit on by a lot of girls! It's just not helping me because I am straight. No boy wants to hit on my because I make mean songs about them and they think I'm gay."

If that wasn't enough proof, Clarkson is now engaged--to a man. She is absolutely in love with her new fiance Brandon Blackstock, who also happens to be her music manager. The couple got engaged in December.

"Brandon's totally the one. I've never been so happy," she told Cosmo, "I've never been truly loved like I am right now."

While she may not be gay, Clarkson advocates for gay rights and supports Obama for being accepting of gay marriage.

"I've been reading online about the debates and I'm probably going to vote for Obama again... I can't support Romney's policies as I have a lot of gay friends and I don't think it's fair they can't get married," she told the Daily Star before the election.
