‘Avengers: Infinity War' Might Have Yondu In The Upcoming Movie, Michael Rooker Posted Hint On Instagram

It looks like another superhero will be joining the "Avengers: Infinity War" movie and help the other heroes in the fight against the supervillain Thanos. Michael Rooker has just hinted that his "Guardians of the Galaxy" character Yondu could be part of the third "Avengers" film.

According to a report from ComicBookMovie, Rooker shared the teaser of him being part of the movie in a photo shared on Instagram. The photo showed the actor with an "Infinity War" beanie while getting coffee at Starbucks. Rooker revealed in the caption that the location of the coffee shop is in Peachtree City, Georgia.

The actor didn't mention anything about playing Yondu in the upcoming "Avengers" movie in his Instagram post, but the hints that he shared pointed to that direction. Alex Leadbeater of Screen Rant said that the current filming location of the upcoming movie is in Atlanta, and it's just a short drive from Peachtree City.

If Yondu is indeed going to be part of "Avengers: Infinity War," it means that all eight members of the "Guardians of the Galaxy," which now includes Yondu, Karen Gillan's Nebula, and Pom Klementieff's Mantis, will be in the movie. CBM adds that this also means all eight members will survive the upcoming battle with Ego in "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2."

Leadbeater said that if this is true, it shows that Marvel is not skimping when it comes to this crossover movie. It's not clear, though, how the team will meet up with the "Avengers" team, but the Guardians all have a strong link to Thanos.

The first "Guardians of the Galaxy" saw the original Guardians battling Ronan the Accuser for possession of the Power Stone. Yondu himself was involved as he was hired to help bring the Stone to Ronan. Check out the trailer for "Guardians of Galaxy Vol. 2" in the video below where Rooker reprises his role as Yondu.
