Hulk Hogan, the professional wrestler and tv personality has opened a new restaurant on Florida's Gulf Coast. The space is a 20,000-square-foot space will be called "Hogan's Beach."
It's going to be Jimmy Buffet's [Margaritaville] times 10; Hooters times 10," Hogan said to The Tampa Bay Times about his new restaurant. "In 36 years I've become so tangible to the public, and not just Americans. We have a chance to have an international draw."
The restaurant will have a beach theme with mechanical shark ride, which will be similar to a mechanical bull ride but in the shape of a shark. There will also be tiki huts and cabanas, volleyball courts and fire pits.
"I see myself almost like a general manager, creatively," Hogan said, reported USA Today. "I play a fake general manager on Impact Wrestling. But this is for real."
The TV show may also be a reality TV show. He had already starred in "Hogan Knows Best" from 2005-2007. He said to The New York Times, "CMT is very interested. It would be like a controlled sound stage, with the pool, bar, volleyball and live music."
The restaurant opened on new tears eve featuring musical performances b DJ Gemini and King County.
Hogan also has a beach shop where fans can buy t-shirts and other souvenirs. It says on his beach shop website, "Hogan's Beach Shop was EST 2012. Hogan is going from Professional Wrestler to Professional Beach Bum. Taking over Clearwater Beach and making it into Hogan's Beach!"
