Disney World is the happiest place on earth, but a janitor recently found three hand grenades at the theme park.
A janitor found three hand grenades at Downtown Disney on Wednesday. Luckily there were found in a parking lot area where only employees are able to use and investigators found that the grenades were useless.
Deputies removed the grenades at around 10 p.m., just a few hours after they were found. Investigators found that they were hollowed out and posed no danger, but authorities said they would blow them up to ensure that they wouldn't be used to hurt anyone.
Jeff Williamson of the Sheriff's Office told WOGX that the grenades seemed to have been used for some sort of training, but he wasn't sure how the casings wound up in the trash at Disney World in Florida.
"There was minimal disruption to guests," Disney spokeswoman Kathleen Prihoda said, according to the Orlando Sentinel. The theme was remained open as usual.
