Madonna may be a professional on the stage but she's more like a virgin on the slopes. Madonna took a face plant to the snow when she fell while skiing and the incident was captured in photos.
Madonna started off the New Year by vacationing in the Swiss resort town of Gstaad, but her vacation on the Swiss Alps seemed a bit rocky and she was photographed falling several times while skiing, the New York Daily News reports.
The 54-year-old singer was trying to be a snow bunny in front of her 25-year-old boyfriend Brahim Zaibat and her daughters, but her lack of skills were more funny that anything as she was skiing on a mostly flat trail. However the incident showed that the Material Girl is still a normal person, despite being known around the world.
At one point, Madonna face planted. Her legs were spread out and she clearly looked unhappy as the unflattering pose was caught on camera.
While Madonna struggled in the snow, her 16-year-old daughter owned the slopes and she snowboarded down more advanced trails with ease. Even Madonna's six-year-old daughter Mercy, who she adopted in 2009, joined in on the fun. She got private lessons from an instructor and stuck to the bunny slope.
Madonna's vacation comes after a busy year in 2012. She kicked it off with a performance at the Super Bowl, she debuted a new album and she went on a tour, which became the highest-grossing tour of the year. She ended the tour on Dec. 22 in Argentina.
