What To Expect At London's Free Cheese And Wine Festival

Last year, the East Village in London organized the Chocolate Festival, and now they will be hosting London's Free Cheese and Wine Festival on the first weekend of April, displaying the finest artisan cheese and wine from over 25 retailers. Lovers of the two treats will gather in one place as the festival opens the celebration to everyone, free of charge.

The festival will feature cheese and wine all over the world coupled with indulgent cheese boards, condiments, and chutneys with wine and cider. Various talks and workshops will also happen simultaneously at East Village, where guests can learn cheese-making and the art of wine pairing.

According to their press release, cheeses to be showcased are from Lombary Gourmet with their Italian gourmet truffle cheese and traditional farm and dairy from Jacob's Ladder. Day-to-day cheese-based food like Arancini, cheesy burgers, and the skiers' raclette, their favorite alpine dish will also take the spotlight.

Wines available during the event will be from Grays and Feather, and handcrafted wine from DVine Wines among many others. Moreover, those who wanted a pint of beer and cider instead of wines can enjoy a chug from craft beer brewers Meantime Brewery.

"There will be no need to go online to Brie-Bay because we've cheddared the world and the feta cheese to get all the best cheeses in one location for the free, non-ticketed event," the team stated on their website. Revelers can visit the East Village Cheese and Wine Festival April 1st, 12 pm to 6 pm and on April 2nd from 11 am to 4 pm.

And perhaps, chocolate lovers might get a special treat like last year when the festival plans to showcase more sweets from award nominated handcraft chocolatiers like Zara's Chocolates and chocolate sculptor, Paul Wayne Gregory.

Those who had their fill of the festival can visit nearby drinks and cafes, serving you gin, tonic, and cocktails.
