It is common for people to leave things behind at a hotel room like chargers, clothes, books or other things, but some pretty strange things were found in Travelodge hotels last year.
Breast implants, an original Harry Potter want, a python, a bucket of live crabs, and a $16,000 Tiffany engagement ring are just some of the off things left behind at one of Travelodge's 527 hotels last year, according to the Daily Mail.
The most common things left behind at Travelodge hotels included photo and computer chargers, phones and laptops themselves, stuffed animals, toiletry bags, suitcases and books.
Over 20,000 books were left behind at the hotels and most of then, a third, were copies of erotic novel Fifty Shades of Grey by E L James. The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo by Stieg Larsson and The Girl Who Kicked The Hornets' Nest were also popular titles to leave behind.
Leaving behind books is normal though. The list of things left behind gets weird and expensive.
A winning EuroMillions ticket, an $81,000 Rolex watch, an 8 foot pop-up spray tanning booth and a pantomime horse costume were some of the other items left behind.
To continue the list, Bugatti keys, a pilot's training manual, a diamond-encrusted wedding rings, a stamp collection worth $407,000, tickets to the 2012 London Olympics, a trunk a Cadbury chocolate, a spare car tire, and even a Persian Chinchilla kitten were found in Travelodge hotels.
"Our lost and found departments provide plenty of revelations,' a Travelodge spokesman said, according to the Daily Mail. 'Our customers' left-behinds demonstrate what a cross section of people stay in our 527 hotels."
"What is becoming evident after speaking to customers is that the pace of life has become so fast and we are so eager to get from A to B that priceless processions are easily being forgotten," the spokesman continued.
While many of the items have no explanation, some of them have stories. The trunk of chocolate was left by a Chinese tourist who took a trip to Cadbury World in Birmingham.
The live crabs were left by a guest who was staying at a Brighton hotel for a fish festival. The python that was left in a Bristol hotel had a name-- Monty.
The pantomime horse belonged to a Cinderella actor who stayed in a Leeds hotel. A diamond-incrusted iPhone 5 was left by someone who bought it the day it was released. She had 228 missed calls when she retrieved the phone.
Where did the breast implants come from? A woman who was staying at a Newcastle hotel as she was on her way to London for the surgery had bought the implants in the U.S.
The Harry Potter wand was actually used in the films. It was left it a Scunthorpe hotel and was locked in a drawer until the owner claimed it.
The owner of the winning EuroMillions ticket knew he won but he accidentally left it under his mattress at a Watford hotel. It is not clear how much it was worth.
The left behind items have three months to be claimed by their owner. Items that weren't claimed were donated to Cancer Research UK charity shops across the UK.
