'Roller Coaster Tycoon' Touch For Mobile Released: Will It Be A Better Experience Than The PC Version?

After being a temporary exclusive title in New Zealand, the new official mobile version the theme park sim "Roller Coaster Tycoon Touch" is now available worldwide for everybody to try out and download. Expectations from fans will now start rolling as the recent entry in the main series was a bit of a letdown.

"Roller Coaster Tycoon Touch" is more than a bite-sized chunk of what long-time fans can expect with the famous theme park sim game. According to Touch Arcade's recent report, players will now be able to download and play the game, free of charge for the iOS. The game will also be focusing on letting players build their own theme parks with towering roller coasters in high-quality 3D environments.

The game will be utilizing a card system, which players will need to collect and upgrade in order to be able to place more impressive-looking attractions in their parks. This, in turn, will let them earn more income for their parks.

To some, the Coaster Builder & Track Editor become is an acquired taste, but many claims that it is easier to design tracks this way. The gameplay is still the same with several social features slapped in, letting players share their parks and connect with friends during live events and contests.

However, ever since "Roller Coaster Tycoon World" got released, the fans' interest in the series have started spiraling down. On Steam, most of the reviews are negative and this keeps happening up to this day due to a number of issues that weren't fixed. It could have been also due to the fact that "Planet Coaster" was released a day after, which got the two titles compared.

Needless to say, "Roller Coaster Tycoon Touch" is still a good game on its own and hopefully, it will improve on most fields where it is needed in order to not repeat the same mistakes, the last main entry did. The game is free after all, so there's no harm in trying it out.
