Kate Middleton is reportedly craving lotos of sweets during her pregnancy. The dutchess is reportedly eating lots of lavender shortbread during the early months of her pregnancy. ShowbizSpy reported that she has been suffering from morning sickness and eating boxes of sweets which are used as anti-nausea cures. She was admitted to the hospital for a few weeks in early December.
St. James' Palace announced Middleton's pregnancy to the world on Dec. 3. She was admitted to King Edward VII Hospital with acute morning sickness, or hyperemesis gravidarum.
"A lot of women develop cravings during pregnancy and Kate is no exception. She has got a real taste for these biscuits," A source said to ShowbizSpy, "Lavender is said to have healing properties, so it is not such a wacky food to nibble on when you're pregnant."
ShowbizSpy also reported that the royal family has been sending Middleton boxes of treats. Prince Charles' Duchy Originals food brand, is reportedly what she is being sent, the popular English treat is sold at Fortnum & Mason. She also was reportedly eating lots of scones with jam and clotted cream during her pregnancy.
"Kate has been craving scones with strawberry jam and clotted cream," said a source to ShowbizSpy.
"She can't get enough of it. And she washes it down with a cup of old-fashioned English-breakfast tea. Some women eat raw onions when they're pregnant, but Kate's joked that she's keeping it classy. It's just a shame she can't keep her food down for long!"
