Police are on the hunt for two men dressed as Oompa-Loompas who attacked a man.
The two men were dressed like the dwarf characters from the 1971 Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory film when they attacked a 28-year-old man who was leaving a kebab shop in Norwich, Norfolk in England. Their faces were painted orange and their hair was dyed green, according to the Daily Mail.
The man who was attacked by the Oompa-Loompas at around 3:20 a.m. on Thursday was first pushed to the ground. When he tried to get up, they hit him on the head. He fell back to the ground and was hit again. The attack left him with cuts on his face, nose and lip. He also had two black eyes.
Police are now looking for the characters who were with another man and a dark-haired woman who was wearing a dress with a split at the side, but police don't believe these other people were involved in the attack.
The Norfolk Police are looking for witnesses who might have seen the attack. Those with information should contact the Bethel Street police station or call Crimestoppers.
"Perhaps they were taking part in a Christmas event. They may have been at a fancy dress party. It is possible it is captured on CCTV but we are still looking for images," a police spokesman said, according to the Daily Mail.
While it may seem bizarre for Oompa-Loompas to attack someone, it isn't the first time that it happened. In 2009, another man dressed as an Oompa-Loompa was involved in a fight at a costume party. Spiderman and a Tinky Winky the Teletubby was also involved.
