Harrison Ford's Recent Airplane Mishap Captured On Video

A couple of weeks ago, Harrison Ford was reportedly once again involved in an almost deadly plane mishap. Now, a video of the close encounter shows how the incident could have been devastating not just to the veteran actor, but also to the passengers of an airliner within the area.

The clip is less than a minute short and has no sound. But it clearly captured Ford's piloted plane flying precariously low over an aircraft that was said to be carrying over 100 passengers at Orange County's John Wayne airport. As shown in the video, the American Airline 737 was slowly taxiing on the field when Ford's Aviat Husky craft was suddenly dropped elevation.

The single-engine plane that the 74-year-old actor was piloting was flying so close to the bigger aircraft almost hitting it. After a couple of breathless seconds, Ford, fortunately, was able to successfully land his plane on the taxiway. As it turns out, it was belatedly revealed that "Indiana Jones" star was supposed to land his Aviat Husky to a runway that is parallel to the taxiway which it eventually used. Following Ford's safe landing, the American Airline 737 that was scheduled to take off for Dallas also eventually left.

Ford's camp has not yet released an official statement regarding his most recent close encounter. But it seems as if there was a confusion regarding the track that he was intended to use courtesy of the airport's air traffic controller's previously released sound recording. "Was that airliner meant to be underneath me," the actor was heard asking. Meanwhile, the incident is currently being looked at by The Federal Aviation Administration. And if Ford is found liable, his private pilot license could be suspended or worse taken away.

Just almost two years ago, Ford was also involved in a near death accident while flying his own plane. At that time, he was able to crash the plane on a Los Angeles golf course, so as to limit the possible causality. Luckily, the "Star Wars" actor came out of it without any permanent injuries.
