Because of "Mystery Science Theater 3000", people were able to see the greatest bad movies ever like Ed Wood's "Plan 9 From Outer Space" and Tommy Wisseau's "The Room." Now, Netflix is bringing back the favorite cult show and they revealed the release date.
Fans of the "Mystery Science Theater 3000" could sit back, relax, and enjoy the skits and analysis on the B movies that they are forced to watch on April 14 on Netflix, BGR has reported. This was also made possible by the fans starting a new Kickstarted campaign.
The crowdfunding efforts of the cult show would finally pay off with the reboot with new cast members. Comedians Jonah Ray, Felicia Day, and Emmy-award winning comedian Patton Oswalt will be joining the show as the new generation of evil villains and their unfortunate targets of bad movies, Ars Technica has reported in their website.
But it is not just the release date that was announced by Netflix. The streaming channel posted the cast photo of "Mystery Science Theater 3000"on their Facebook account. The cast is in costume and they are reacquainting with the classic robot friends from the original show.
CNET wrote in an article that Hampton Yount and Baron Vaugn would also be in the series. They will provide the fresh voices of Crow T. Robot and Tom Servo, respectively on the reboot.
Also in the picture is Joel Hodgson on the far back of the photo, rocking a fine goatee. He is one of the original cast members of the "Mystery Science Theater 3000"
Before this, fans of the "Mystery Science Theater 3000" have seen the original cast in just one picture. Back in June, they were spotted together and having a reunion.
There is no guarantee if the "Mystery Science Theater 3000" would give justice to the classic cult favorite. Netflix has been producing topnotch quality shows but its revival/sequel of another cult hit Full House has been getting negative reviews. Hopefully, fans would be satisfied for the revival.
