After over a year of dating, Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton are still going strong and it seems like their relationship is only getting stronger over time. The "No Doubt" frontwoman gushes anew over his man proving that all is well, if not better, between the two of them. Despite that, Stefani said that she is determined to win the season 12 of "The Voice", even at the expense of her 40-year-old lover.
In the middle of sweet social media photos of them hanging out with each other and their stint on the upcoming outing of NBC's hit singing competition, Stefani has embarked on a couple of promotional rounds including a guest appearance on "Late Night with Seth Meyers" last Tuesday. And just like every time her beau is mentioned in the conversation, the blonde beauty bursts into a big smile and starts talking about how great the country singer is.
"I love Blake! He is the most incredible guy. Everybody loves Blake and that's the thing, there's no way around it, he's just a sparkly, happy amazing person," the singer gushed. "[But] he is in trouble this season. I'm about ready to get on him."
During the interview, the "Don't Speak" singer also admitted that before she met Shelton on the set of "The Voice" season 7, she barely knew who he was given that they are in work on two very different genres of music. But after spending time with each other in the past year, Stefani said that despite the difference, they are still able to find ways to jive with each other. They even collaborated on a song together titled "Go Ahead and Break My Heart" last year.
"It's been incredible because we get to hop on each other's stages and I can be at one of his country shows and come up and sing... and he can come on to my stage," the 47-year-old shared. "It's been magical because cross pollination of music is pretty special."
Stefani and Shelton confirmed their relationship November of 2015 - just after the two of them went through splits with their respective partners. The former ended her 12-year marriage with Gavin Rossdale August of the same year. The two shares three sons together. The latter, on the other hand, also broke up with Miranda Lambert, a couple months earlier in July. And although the powerhouse country couple does not share any kids, they have already been married for 4 years by the time the decided to get a divorce.
