Things were barely heating up between "Flip or Flop" star Christina El Moussa and boyfriend Gary Anderson ever since E! Online confirmed reports on El Moussa's new relationship a few weeks ago. The 33-year-old El Moussa has not personally spoken to the press although an official statement was released through her representative Cassandra Zebish. "Christina is single and being in a relationship is the last thing on her mind. She is taking this time to focus on her children and herself," said Zebish.
While El Moussa and Anderson only confirmed their relationship early this month, US Weekly said the couple actually started dating in mid-2016. The HGTV star entered into a relationship with Anderson who is a family contractor, just months after her divorce with ex-husband Tarek.
While there are insider talks that outside pressure was the reason, reports remain vague as to why El Moussa and Anderson really split up. El Moussa however, recently granted an exclusive interview with People where she opened up about her divorce with the father of her two children -- daughter Taylor, 6, and son Braydon, 18 months.
"Like any couple, we had our share of issues. But we went through a lot in a short amount of time. We weren't able to properly communicate anymore. It got to the point where we weren't even driving to set together," El Moussa said.
In hindsight, the once-married couple did go through a lot together ever since their "Flip or Flop" show debuted on the small screen in 2013. Both real-estate agents by profession, the pair had to juggle work commitments and health issues.
Tarek was diagnosed with thyroid cancer in 2013 while Christina suffered a miscarriage in 2014. Despite the couple's divorce, they still continued filming episodes for "Flip or Flop" and it is presumed that the show will still go on despite El Moussa's recent split with Anderson.
