Netflix has officially confirmed that "The Crown" season 2 is coming back soon. Lead stars like Claire Floy and Matt Smith are now rolling the camera on for the 10 new episodes of the series. However, despite the fact that the filming has already started, it has been said that these two stars will still be leaving the show at the end of the season.
According to the show's creator Peter Morgan, he revealed that the Queen, Prince Philip, and the other royals will be recast for the upcoming seasons three and four in order to account other characters that are advancing ages. He also added that the upcoming season will cover the periods from 1955 and 1964 and they are trying to do silly things in terms of the makeup of Claire Floy that will make her look older, Express reported.
Further, Netflix hasn't announced yet the official released date of the series however, it will be expected that this will hit the screen by November. Meanwhile, it has been revealed that Floy will be portraying the prim and proper Queen Elizabeth II in the forthcoming season, Daily Mail reported.
Just recently, Floy broke the British reserve as she scoffed a puff pastry while filming in London for the second series of this Netflix hit. On the other hand, her co-star Matt Smith will also be expected to return as Prince Philip while looking sophisticated on his navy blazer as he mounted into a sleek 1956 Lagonda Coupe.
While filming, Floy was also seen being dressed in a terracotta-hued dress with her pleated skirt and a green coat accessorized with a brooch. With all that she's been wearing, the Ugg boots will be the only thing to signify that we are now into the modern era. It can be seen underneath her skirt and her fur-trim jacket.
