It's A Girl For 'Sisterhood of Travelling Pants' Star Amber Tamblyn

It's raining babies all over Hollywood. After "Today" Show co-host Hoda Kotb's TV announcement that she has welcomed a new baby girl in her family, "Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants" actress Amber Tamblyn on the other hand, welcomed her own newborn daughter via social media.

US Weekly reports that the 33-year-old actress amusingly found the opportunity to inject some humor with regards to the arrival of the new baby. She posted an outrageously long name on Instagram as a caption under a short video clip of her baby's foot. "David and I are proud to announce the birth of our daughter, Dauphinoise Petunia Brittany Scheherazade Von Funkinstein Mustard Witch RBG Cross Tamblyn-Bey jr. #TheFutureIsFemale," Tamblyn wrote.

The birth of her firstborn with 52-year-old husband David Cross was highly anticipated and it seems like she is taking motherhood seriously. Last year, she wrote intimate thoughts on her impending role as a mother. The essay was published in the October 2016 issue Glamour Magazine. "I've been thinking about motherhood a lot lately. What it means to be one, what it means to have one, what it means to know one, what it means to make decisions as one and have conversations as one," wrote Tamblyn.

Attached to the essay was an old photo of Tamblyn as a baby, sitting on her mother's shoulders. It is interesting to note Hillary Clinton was also mentioned. The famous female politician apparently fascinated Tamblyn as she lengthily dissected Clinton as a mother, a woman and as a public servant.

"Powerful women don't get to exist outside of context. To discount all the good she's done in her 30 years of public service and pay attention to the bad is, at best, severely myopic," Tamblyn pondered.

Today shared an Instagram post of "Traveling Pants" co-star Blake Lively wherein the actress commended Tamblyn for the well-written piece. She also took the opportunity to share a photo of her and a very pregnant Tamblyn.

It has been twelve years since "Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants" debuted on the big screen. Despite that, Tamblyn remained active in the entertainment scene and was even able to publish poetry books. It is assumed however, that career adjustments would have to be made to accommodate her motherly duties.
