Rumors are coming everywhere that the former US president Barack Obama is now going to buy a certain properties in Rancho Mirage, California. The reports surface from the realtors in Coachella Valley recently.
However, despite the speculations that Obama bought a certain Rancho Mirage home, agents cannot confirm yet whether or not it was a done deal. They did say that one of the friends of the former first family also lived in the town and has looked into properties in Rancho Mirage for the several years.
For the past years, the Obamas were taking number of trips to the desert of the resort city. It was also the place where they visited their friend Michael Smith. He is an interior designer who also had decorated the Oval Office and the White House dining area. Smith, together with his partner, James Costos, made the interiors, and he is now the current ambassador in Spain, Mansion Global reported.
There were also reports that say in 2014 that Obama already bought a home in the same place called the Thunderbird Heights. However, such rumor wasn't true since the home was really sold to a Nebraskan couple and not with the first family. This was confirmed by the property records from Riverside country.
Further, there were lots of tabloids that claimed that Obama made a done deal with such property, yet no one really claimed that the rumors were true and reliable. Some other speculations surfaced due to Obama's visit to the desert. One of the rumored properties he bought was the Wambaugh House which was named for its long-time owner Joseph Wambaugh, Desert Sun reported.
There were lots of rumors coming that Obama was the buyer of the house, however, White House denied it. Further, it showed that the buyer was Omaha-based on the signatories of the deeds.
