Mall shoppers in Nanping Shanghai Bailian, China, can now enjoy sliding down in a four-storey spiral slide. The ride is about 160 feet high, enclosed in transparent spirals for shoppers to enjoy the experience.
The mall slide in Nanping Shanghai Bailian opened last week and is seen to enticed bored mall shoppers to have some fun while shopping.
For seamless sliding, people will have to wear a sack as they go down and shoot out from the tube, and are greeted by a padded mat for their safety. More and more shoppers begin to take the slide rather than the lift for fun and quick travel to the fourth floor as some would prefer a ride down in just a few seconds.
Children can also get to experience the slide if only they're over three years old and must be around 1.2 meters tall. Of course, they have to be accompanied by an adult for them to skid in the mall's slider.
The slide in Nanping Shanghai Bailian is not the first in the country, though. In March 2016, a five-storey slide was built in PujianDELETED, a branch of Printemps Department Store. The stainless steel ride was highly inspired from a dragon and was coated with colorful stickers at its base.
More malls in China are eyeing to have the same attraction to tempt visitors in going to their place. This new trend is expected to be seen more in the future and not just something establishments will rake in profits, but it will have the country's tourism in the spotlight.
