A brand new trailer was released for the latest reboot of the hit superhero show "Power Rangers". The trailer that runs on one minute showed us the ranger's mentor, Zordon which will be played by Bryan Cranston. The video also feature the quintet testing out their awesome robotic dinosaurs called Zords.
The reboot features Dacre Montgomery, Ludi Lin, Becky G., Naomi Scott and RJ Cyler to play the five problem childs from Angel Groove High as reported by The Sun Daily. They will venture into a restricted area where they will unexpectedly find alien technology that turns them into the 'Power Rangers'. With their new-found powers they are now tasked by Zordon in protecting the world from evil alien invaders.
The trailer was a part of Lion's Gate social media campaign for Dean Israelite's reboot which will be unlocked once it receives a 75, 000 reaction. The video was called 'All-Star Trailer' and went live last February 24 featuring Elizabeth Banks as the main villain of the film, Rita Repulsa complete in her green outfit and golden scepter. The video also provided a short glimpse of Rita's gigantic gold monster called Goldar.
We also got an amazing preview of the Zords which represents each of the ranger's morpher. Red Ranger has the Tyrannosaurus Rex while Blue Ranger has the Triceratops. Black, Pink and Yellow Ranger has the Mastodon, the Sabertoothed Tiger and the Pterodactyl Zords respectively.
According to Game Spot, the movie can continue on up to seven more movies if the movie will be successful. Lion's Gate is hoping that the movie will reignite the franchise by making more installments if the crowd will catch the wave created by the first movie.
The film was based on the 1995 TV show titled "Mighty Morphin Power Ranger" which is actually taken from the Japanese show Super Sentai fused with American style. The show took the world by storm spawning a number of spin-offs, movie and games. The 2017 movie reboot of the series will premier in theaters on March 24.
