Crocodile Leaps at Tourists in Australia's Litchfield National Park [VIDEO]

A tourist in a river in Australia got a huge shock when a crocodile jumps on him out of nowhere and its caught on camera. Naturally, the video has now gone viral on the web.

Unassuming Felix Andersson was going for a dip in a river at Litchfield National Park in the Northern Territory when he went close to a rock where the crocodile was sitting in the sun. Andersson's two friends Ulrik Bergsland and Jakob Hellberg were also there. Hellberg was the one who caught the scene on film.

The three men from Sweden were swimming in an area called Wangi Falls, which is in the national park close to Darwin, Australi, reported The Huffington Post.

Yahoo! Reported that the crocodile launched itself from the rock directly at Anderrson and slaps him in the face before it goes in the water. None of the men were hurt in the incident.

The video has gotten over 100,000 hits on YouTube and been featured on a number of different websites.

There has also been a barrage of comments about the video on YouTube. Here are a few:

User Stijn Boonen said, "Really guys, if you want to get eaten so badly at least offer yourself on a silver platter with an appel in your mouth.

You know what I find sad? That the headlines of newspapers never say 'idiots get eaten allive' but 'crock attacks group of helpless swimmers'."

And another person claims fresh water crocodiles don't bother humans:

"It's only a freshie nothing to worry about. They're lucky it wasn't a saltie though! Freshies prefer fish not people, where as a saltie will eat both," said user hazz zahh.

The Huffington Post reported that incidents with crocodiles are not uncommon, and often very dangerous. In 2008 in Australia a man saved the life of his wife by jumping on a crocodile's back who was attacking her for example.
