On Thursday, Feb. 16, the tech giant Apple confirmed that WWDC 2017 will be held from June 5-9 at the McEnery Convention Center in San Jose, California. Aside from that, the latest news about Apple iOS 11 has been reported that it will be unveiled at that event.
In a press release from Apple (via Network World), it mentioned that the Apple technology developers (APIs like SiriKit, HomeKit, HealthKit and CarPlay) have been inspired to create " incredible experiences for every aspect of customers' lives." It also mentioned that its developers have made improvements on managing smart homes, cars, health and more.
Although it mentioned that Apple iOS 11 will be unveiled in June, the operating system is said to be available in the market by September 2017, Macworld UK reported. According to the online rumors, iOS 11 could support the new screen which does not feature a home button.
Some have speculated that this upcoming OS includes a special "function area" and even an iris scanner. Another rumor claims that augmented reality capabilities as it is believed that the tech giant is working on augmented reality.
For Apple users, updating to the final public version of iOS 11 will be free. However, when it comes to downloading and installing one of the beta versions, it will be a little more difficult. Aside from that, setting up a developer account costs $99 per year, according to the source.
On June 5, macOS 10.13 will be unveiled at WWDC 2017. Expect that Apple will demonstrate new features, and will announce the name of new OS.
In July, the first public beta will be released. There will be more updates will come for the developer beta. In Sept., the final version for macOS 10.13 is set to be released to the public.
