'DOTA 2' Reaches 3 Billionth Game; Find Out Final Teams Qualify For The 'DOTA 2' Asia Championships

In a recent "DOTA 2" news, about 3 billion game lobbies that have been created for Valve's free-to-play MOBA. Aside from that, qualified final teams for "'DOTA 2" Asia Championships have been revealed.

DOTABUFF (via theScore eSports) reveals "DOTA 2" statistics. The data shows the 3 billion game lobbies that have been played in South East Asia servers lasted 44:04-minute game with 86 kills.

In 2016, the free-to-play multiplayer online battle arena video game has been reported as the most played games on Steam. It actually beat "Counter-Strike: Global Offensive" and "Team Fortress 2" with an average of 636,607 players per hour, according to IGN.

Meanwhile, there are final four teams that have been qualified for "DOTA 2" Asia Championships. The 12-team competition "DOTA 2" Asia Championships invited four teams from the Chinese qualifier and one team from each of the four other regional qualifiers, according to Forbes.

Evil Geniuses (The International 6 champions Wings Gaming), Chinese team Newbee, and OG (Boston Major champions) did not have to play in any qualifiers as these teams were all directly invited to the competition. The Chinese qualifiers Invictus Gaming, Team VG.J, LGD.Forever Young and iG Vitality were able to go to finals.

Invictus Gaming showed an amazing performance because, in the entire qualifier, the team did not lose a single game. This made them the best teams in the region.

Then on the final four teams, it includes the four regional qualifiers one team coming from each region. In Europe, Team Liquid was able to defeat B)ears in the final to make it to DAC. In the CIS qualifier, Team Empire defeated Effect in the final.

Faceless defeated WarriorsGaming.Unity in the final. In North America, Team NP defeated Digital Chaos to secure the final place at DAC. Due to constant internet issues at the boot camp, CIS team Virtus.pro have been dropped out of the qualifier.
