Mazda, one of the leading car companies in the world, are now recalling their vehicles since it had discovered problems with its driver's seats. As per reports, there were certain cars used in the US which experienced problems on seats adjusting its own. This raised the worries of some car owners since this may lead them to accidents.
This current recalls of cars include the Mazda 2 subcompact from the 2011 model year and as well as with the 2010 and 2011 Mazda 3 and Mazdaspeed 3 compacts. According to the company, the seat height of these cars apparently was the problem. It has the tendency to increase the risk of accidents among the car drivers, CNBC reported.
Further, all car dealers are now expected to inspect and check the driver's seats and either, install a kind of strengthening bracket or replace the whole seat adjustment as well. This recall is expected to start by March 31. Although the recall has not yet been officially posted in the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's website, there were already several owners of the vehicles which had filed complaints against the agency of Mazda, Consumerist reported.
There was also a report that says that an owner of a 2010 Mazda 3 in April 2012 had a broken driver's side seat found at the welded attachment which points up to the adjuster trail. Another owner also revealed that the driver's side plastic height adjuster had broken which cause the seat to move at any time the car will turn.
Some other car owners were also complaining that its driver's seat will not stay on the sliding track which put them on too much risk. Further, Mazda will finally begin notifying all those owners who were affected by the problem the next month to avoid accidents while on the road.
