Business Traveler magazine Awards 2012: Best in Business Travel Awards Announced

Business Traveler magazine has published its annual readers tops picks for best business travel services around the globe. Featured in its December 2012/January 2013 issue it features a number of different categories including best overall airline and best frequent flyer program to name a few.

CNN reported that in the 2012 Best in Business Travel Awards there are 41 companies named in 64 different categories. They also noted that 10 new categories were added this year.

Business Traveler's website states, "Once again this year, our Business Traveler readers, have had the opportunity to voice their preferences for the top products and services from the entire spectrum of travel - the best from different regions of the world, different types of travel providers, different classes of service. All based on your own experience."

The awards are broken down in categories according to industry, geographics and area of focus, reported Business Traveler. The 10 groups featured this year are: "Best Airlines by Region, Best Air Travel Experience, Best in Rental Car, Best Global Hotel Experience, Best Hotels by Region, Best Marketing and Customer Connection, Best Loyalty Programs, Best Places to Connect, Best Traveler Tools and Productivity Boosters, and the Best in Global Travel."

Some of the highlights include Asiana Airlines winning the Best Overall Airline in the World. Peninsula Hong Kong took Best Business Hotel in the World and Best Airport Hotel in the World went to Frankfurt Hilton.
