Nobu, famous for its high end Japanese restaurants, will open a Nobu Hotel in Las Vegas. The hotel is set to open within Caesar's Palace. CNN reported that the hotel will open in 2013.
Nobu Hotel's website states, "The world's first ever Nobu Hotel at Caesars Palace is a luxury infused, celebrity-driven exhibition. And its guests? We can't quite put our finger on it, but well, let's just say they have a certain je ne sais quoi, not to mention great taste. Immerse yourself in luxury that emerges at every turn, every texture, and every amenity."
The hotel will be home to Nobu's largest restaurant at 12,000 square feet and the menu will be available for room service 24/7. Trevor Horwell who is chief executive at Nobu Hospitality said, "We realized we were building other hotels' brands, when what we should be doing is building our own."
"Anybody who walks into a Nobu restaurant, we want to convert for ourselves," says Trevor Horwell, chief executive at Nobu Hospitality. "Once we open, we want it to go the other way around too."
Horwell added that the hotel was natural progression and that many of other hotel chains that have a Nobu in them is a major draw for visitors. "We realized we were building other hotels' brands, when what we should be doing is building our own," he said to CNN.
The hotel was designed by David Rockwell who is a New York based designer. He also designed the first Nobu Restaurant. The hotel is a fusion of Asian and Western.
"The designs embrace comfortable simplicity with natural materials and textures counter-balanced with outsized elements to reveal a touch of Vegas flair."
