Jacob Tyler Roberts has been identified as the masked gunman who killed two people in Clackamas Town Center mall in Portland, Oregon.
ABC News reported that the gunman, 22, shot the two victims with an AR-15-semi automatic that was stolen. Sheriff Craig Roberts said to "Good Morning America" that he wanted to kill "as many people as possible."
The gunman entered the mall wearing a white hockey mask and all black on Tuesday at 3:30 p.m. before he entered a Macy's store and started shooting.
"At this time we do not understand the motive of this attack except to say no apparent relationship between suspect and victims," added the sheriff at a news conference.
The victims of the shooting were 54-year-old Cindy Ann Yuille and 45-year-old Stephen Matthew Forsyth CBS affiliate KOIN reported. Another victim, Kristina Shevchenko is in the hospital in serious condition.
Yuille's family released a statement which said, "Cindy was everybody's friend, she was a wonderful person, she was very caring and put others first."
Forsyth owned a business in the mall and was a married father of two children, reported ABC News.
ABC News reported that Roberts stole the gun from someone he knew. The 22-year-old went to Clackamas Community college. His Facebook page says he works at a gyro shop in downtown Portland and he posted a photo of himself holding a gun and firing it at a target, reported ABC News.
Roberts went to Milwaukie High School from 2004 to 2007 and the officials at the school told ABC News that he was an "average student with average grades." He transferred his senior year to Oregon City High School.
Roberts also has no previous criminal record and officials still have not announced any possible motive for the shooting.
