The upcoming "Overwatch" update will tweak and buff several of its characters. Roadhog and Ana will be getting balance tweaks while Winston appears to be getting a buff.
"Overwatch" Roadhog Changes
The details of the changes in "Overwatch" are greatly explained in the official Battle Net forums by the developers. With Roadhog, players had previously complained about his chain hook, so the move's cooldown time was increased from six to eight seconds. In addition, his gun does more damage without the hook dragging the enemy to the player first. Roadhog Scrap Gun spread is now decreased by 20 percent. Moreover, his Chain Hook targets are now pulled to a location 3.5 meters away, up from 2 meters.
"Overwatch" Winston Changes
The coming "Overwatch" update will decrease Winston's critical hit volume by 15 percent, a move that most fans are thankful. He will now take less damage than before, fitting his tank character well. Seemingly, he took more damage than he should have and that has now been balanced for good. Fans, however, are hopeful that the update does not add any other problems, given that some patches appear to have performed that way previously.
More Character Changes in "Overwatch"
PVP Live notes that the current Bastion in the PTR cannot be essentially killed when combining his new passive skill with Ana's Nanoboost. One footage shows the situation wherein D.Va's ultimate only dealt a measly 144 damage to the omnic. In response, Blizzard addressed this issue and they plan on capping the damage resistance to Ana's Nanoboost as a result. Currently, Blizzard set the cap to 70 percent, but it is easily adjustable if needed. This 70 percent cap would instead see Bastion take just about 300 damage from the self-destruct, rather than 144.
