The father-and-son duo from the History channel star, "Pawn Stars" have been fined in California. TMZ reported that Rick and Corey Harrison have been fined after littering on a campground.
TMZ reported that the Harrisons were camping in Glamis, California over the weekend of Thanksgiving when they left behind trash bags full of garbage. They were with friends and the garbage include, beer cans, garbage and a BBQ grill and the trash was enough to fill up 10 trash bags, reported TMZ.
Rick and Cory were each fined $1000 according. Cory Harrison however, said to TMZ, "We left the campground before our buddies did and they were to clean it up and apparently didn't follow through. My father nor I were cited."
TMZ reported that police knew it was the duo because of an incident that happened previously that weekend.
The show's premise is about Rick Harrison and his family that own and run a pawn shop on the Las Vegas strip and the process of buying, selling and appraising the items. It also gives the viewer on a historical context of the items.
Rick Harrison said to Entertainment Weekly of the unexpected premise of the show, "I was pitching the show for four years, and nothing ever came of it. Out of the blue, Leftfield Pictures calls me up and says, "Hey, we're thinking about trying to do a reality show in a pawn shop." I said, "Oh, really? I've been trying to get this thing going for four years!" It was really refreshing. They were from New York. They weren't from Hollywood. They were really business-minded, from the first call with them to being on the air for six months, and from there, the ratings just kept on going up."
