"Street Fighter 5" upcoming DLC will bring in Kolin into the games. She is the second fighter so far, to be included following Akama.
Capcom has recently announced the game's newest DLC fighter Kolin. She will be joining the list as the second character in Season 2, and she will become available on the last day of February. Kolin uses the Russian martial arts style of Systema along with ice-inspired powers.
Kolin's Story
After operating in the shadows for Gill and the secret Illuminati organization, Kolin makes her "Street Fighter 5" debut. She first appeared in "Street Fighter III" and works behind the scenes in order to fulfill the Prophecy of Miraha and stop any who dare stand in Gill's way. She is characteristically collected and calm, but can abruptly fly into a rage when anybody threatens Gill and his plans. Kolin resurrects Nash and makes him as a pawn too, manifesting she will do anything to achieve her goals.
Kolin's Power
Kolin shines in the Russian martial art of Systema, which we expect to see in "Street Fighter 5." She makes use of the opponent's momentum against them and executing various slash-like attacks and knife hand strikes. Gill has given her the power of ice, enabling her to augment her fight style with freezing blasts and lethal icicles. She is often heard speaking scornfully towards her opponents, knowing they do not stand a chance before her, let alone Gill.
In "Street Fighter 5," we will see more of her attacks. This includes the V-Skill: Inside Slash, which is a unique counter that empowers her to deflect and automatically punish incoming moves with simplicity. In addition, she has V-Trigger: Diamond Dust, which allows Kolin to slam the ground twice with her foot, each time shooting out a path of sharp icicles across the floor.
Aside from damage and stun, this move freezes the opponent's stun gauge. She also has a deadly Critical Art: Frost Tower, which we expect to see more in "Street Fighter 5." With this, Kolin sprints forward with a slice of her hand. If the attack connects, she will summon large icicles from the ground, hurling the opponent into the air and smashing the ice to drop them to the ground.
Meanwhile, coming alongside Kolin on February 28 in "Street Fighter 5," are her Story, Premium Battle, and Nostalgia costumes. The Season 2 Character Pass is at $30 in the US, and Capcom assures that new characters will be revealed every other month starting with Kolin's reveal this month, says Slash Gear.
