'Nioh' Final Boss Cheats, Tips & Tricks: How To Beat Yamata-No-Orochi Easily

There are some arguments regarding "Nioh" being harder than "Dark Souls." This is subjective, but the game revolving around samurais, oriental demons and ninjas surely pose a challenge to everybody. The game's final boss, Yamata-No-Orochi, isn't the hardest villain in the video game history, but it is no slouch either. Here's how it can be beaten.

The method of beating the final boss of "Nioh" is straightforward, but it requires a bit of preparation. As shown in PowerPyx's, roughly seven-minute battle (Spoilers), it can be done without relying on too many tricks and with a decent enough build, it can be done even by intermediate or beginners.

In preparing for the final boss fight, there are some things that need to be checked and most of these should be focused on early in the game. It would be advisable of the BODY gets the highest points. This is, in fact, generally the most important stat to staying alive. It adds resistances and more importantly, with most boss fights, the spear linked weapon is handy and powerful in "Nioh."

The Agility grade should also be at least "A" in order to move around as quickly as possible. Speed is going to be essential in beating Yamata-No-Orochi. As indicated in the recommended stats screen, the STRENGTH core stat wasn't given too much focus on, but as with most of PowerPyx's tutorials, stopping power isn't everything. In fact, in "Dark Souls," one can even beat its final boss without leveling up or without equipment, only relying on perfect timing and speed.

When the battle starts, the players will be facing the first head of the snake. Its initial attacks could be dodged. The cue is when the head retracts for about half a second. The dodge direction needs to be backward and not sidewards or worse, forward. Once executed properly, the player can attack a couple of times.

This approach can be done almost with every head. There would always be at least half a second gap before the attacks connect. The direction can also be determined by observing the head's movements. A sideways attack would be likely when a head "twists". The dodge direction should not be the same from where the attack will come from. As with most bosses in "Nioh" dodging forward with most sideways attack gets the job done.

As for the projectiles, these are hard to dodge, but they don't do as much damage as getting from a direct attack. Players are encouraged to use healing items only when needed. Similar to most souls game, beginners might end up having a limited number of healing items in "Nioh" so it is best preserved or not used at all on non-boss enemies.
