Former IT Girl Tara Palmer-Tomkinson Found Dead

Socialite Tara Palmer-Tomkinson was found dead on her £4.4 million flat on Wednesday in Chelsea, London. The police stated that they are treating the case as "unexplained," but non-suspicious. Her remains were removed from the flat four hours after the incident was reported to the police.

A police spokesperson stated, as published on Huffington Post, "The death is being treated as unexplained. At this early stage, police are not treating the death as suspicious. Enquiries into the circumstances are ongoing. The Coroner has been informed." He further noted that the London Ambulance Service called the police at 1:40 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2017, to report the incident.

Palmer-Tomkinson, 45, rose to fame in the '90s as an It girl. She was a familiar face in the party scene and was known for her close ties with the Royal family. She also made headlines for her cocaine addiction, to which she admitted spending £400 a day. In 2006, she underwent a nasal septum reconstruction surgery.

In the latter part of 2016, Palmer-Tomkinson confessed suffering from a brain tumor. She revealed that this event has changed her outlook on life. The socialite shared on Mirror, "I'm not the person I was, I'm much calmer. I don't go to places like Ibiza because the party world scares me. It used to really matter what people thought and said about me. Now, it doesn't bother me whether people write that I'm off my face, on my face, in my face, whatever. It's all pretty trivial compared to [this]."

Prince of Wales, Palmer-Tomkinson's godfather, and the Duchess of Cornwall were "deeply saddened" of her sudden death. Meanwhile, her brother James Palmer-Tomkinson was in Switzerland when news of her death broke out. He is yet to release a statement regarding his sister's demise.

Palmer-Tomkinson recently appeared on the show "I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here!" and finished second according to Mirror.
